Softball update

Daniel encouraged me to post about softball and so here it is. We had another region softball game on Thursday night. We are still undefeated. I was the second batter of the game, my neighbor behind me being the first. He got on base with a single. Standing at home plate, I let the first two pitches go by as ball 1 and ball 2. The third pitch was perfect and I hit it over the left-center fence at 300 plus feet. Number 6 for the year. A Rod and Bonds have nothing on me. I hit well, 4 for 5. More to come. John

I love it!

It brings back memories. I always hit well back in the day, but only got about one HR per year - and usually an inside-the-parker at that (my head would swell when, after getting on base, I'd hear the opposing team telling each other, "He's got wheels!").

We cleaned out the garage this last week and came across my 1980 trophy for our Regional Softball Championship. (Boy does that make me feel old.)

That's crazy. I hear that same phrase several times a season myself. We are more alike than I realized. You are old. John
