Payson Lakes

We have reserved three camp sites for Thursday, July 24 (night) and Friday, July 25 (night). We need to check out Saturday morning sometime. The sites are C8, C10, C11 which are all next to each other. Go to www.recretion.gov to check it out. I (John) have already payed for the sites. If each couple could send me $20 at your leisure, I'd appreciate it. If anyone is in a financial situation that would make this difficult to do, let me know via email and we'll make arrangements. That's $20 a family for two nights! What a bargain! I realize that I'm your hero. Please hold your applause until the end of the show. Those expected are Parents Heywood, Joe and Brandi, John and Sunni, Daniel and Karleigh, Dave and Erin, Eric and Kacie and I'm not sure about Evan. Good times are a comin'.

I'll send you $5 since you owe me $15 in friendship dues.

Since I've never paid you any dues before, this must be for the past 33 1/2 years of my life which means you charge about 4 cents a month for your friendship. That's about what it's worth. John

I can picture you at your seminary office test punching away on the calculator figuring out the dues rate.

You now owe $87.50 to the nerd fund.

I take cash.

You charge a lot more for being my nerd. John

Perhaps I'll bring my fishing gear and teach you all a little lesson in how one goes-a-fishing. Or perhaps I'll teach you right now.

How one goes-a-fishing,
by Eric Heywood:

1. Find a nice spot.
2. Rig a lure and cast a few times.
3. Get bored with casting, rig a worm, cast it out, bust out a book and some munchies.
4. Reel in your fish(or worm).
5. Repeat steps 3-4.

For me, finding a nice spot now involves a canoe...

"Hey, shotgun, how's it going?"

Like that? Dad is standing next to me and he made me type that joke.
