WHAT AN AWESOME MAN!
I CAN'T BELIEVE MITT ROMNEY...OUR HOPEFUL IS OUT.

WHAT A SHAME

I was very hopeful for America.
They are missing out because of their liberal mentality.
Posted by Sunni, a very dissapointed voter

( Here is an excerpt from Mitt Romney's exit speech.)

"Today we are a nation at war. And Barack and Hillary have made their intentions clear regarding Iraq and the war on terror: They would retreat, declare defeat.
And the consequence of that would be devastating. It would mean attacks on America, launched from safe havens that would make Afghanistan under the Taliban look like child's play. About this, I have no doubt.
Now, I disagree with Senator McCain on a number of issues, as you know.
But I agree with him on doing whatever it takes to be successful in Iraq, and finding and executing Osama bin Laden.
And I agree with him on eliminating Al Qaida and terror worldwide.
Now, if I fight on, in my campaign, all the way to the convention...
ROMNEY: ... I want you to know, I've given this a lot of thought -- I'd forestall the launch of a national campaign and, frankly, I'd make it easier for Senator Clinton or Obama to win.
Frankly, in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.
This isn't an easy decision. I hate to lose.
My family, my friends, you, my supporters across the country, you've given a great deal to get me to where I have a shot to becoming president. If this were only about me, I'd go on. But it's never been only about me.
I entered this race -- I entered this race because I love America. And because I love America, in this time of war, I feel I have to now stand aside for our party and for our country.
AUDIENCE: No! No!
ROMNEY: You guys are great.
I will continue to stand for conservative principles. I'll fight alongside you for all the things we believe in. And one of the things we believe in is that we cannot allow the next president of the United States to retreat in the face of evil extremism.
It is the common task of each generation and the burden of liberty to preserve this country, expand its freedoms and renew its spirit, so that its noble past is prologue to its glorious future.
To this task, accepting this burden, we're all dedicated. And I firmly believe, by the providence of the Almighty, that we will succeed beyond our fondest hope.
America must always remain, as it has always been, the hope of the Earth.
Thank you so very much. I love you. Thank you."

Thanks, Sunni. His 22 minute speech - given at the Conservative Political Action Conference is even better when you hear it. Give it a listen. Here's a link:

I believe he would be an even greater president than Reagan, who was the greatest president of my lifetime.

I actually like Barack Obama's approach to the war on terror and Iraq. I think he makes sense on that issue.

But I agree, I wish Romney had been given more support.

Barrack has my vote. I hate Hillary, and McCain. I hate to vote Democrat and be so liberal, but I like Obama's views.

Unless of course, someone wants to change my mind. I don't know politics very well. So shed some light on this issue!

My political comment for the day.

The National Journal Group Inc. conducts an annual computer-assisted analysis of all the years senate votes. Last year there were 99 key senate votes selected by the NJ reporters and editors to place every senator on a liberal-to-conservative scale. The results showed Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was the most liberal senator in 2007 (number 1 out of 100).

"Conservatives" are generally for lower taxes (personal and business), smaller government (including less government intrusion into all aspects of Americans lives, and letting business - big and small - grow the economy and thereby increase the tax revenues coming into the government's coffers), fewer federal laws (leaving most of that up to the individual states, and a strong national defense.

While "liberals" generally believe in higher taxes (necessary to pay for the larger government - including social programs for Americans that - real or imagined - can't take care of themselves), more federal laws (instead of leaving most legislation to the states), and staying out of world affairs as much as possible because they are not our concern. These are generalizations only and there are always exceptions.

With this in mind, I'm nervous about a guy who has been identified as "the most liberal senator in 2007." Having said that, I watched one debate between Obama and Hillary and was impressed with his demeanor, professionalism, his unflappability, his wit, his good looks, and his charm (reminded me of me!). My other concern is that we don't know much more about him than what I've stated above.

As a point of interest, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., did not vote frequently enough in 2007 to draw a composite score (one must participate in 50% or more votes to be considered). He missed more than half of the votes in both the economic and foreign-policy categories. On social issues, which include immigration, McCain received a conservative score of 59 out of 100. "Did not vote frequently enough"????? What is up whith that?

Yo Brother David, if you go to google and type 'presidential candidate views', or something along those lines, you can find links that will tell you EXACTLY what they believe.

I am with you Jim! We should run together next time around......show this country what some true republicans can do.

As far as I am concerned there is no one running that I am interested in...so I must choose the lesser of all the evils

I think that Hillary is evil. Just look at her, don't you feel a horrible feeling everytime you watch her? I agree with Sunni, nobody is running that interests me as the next president. Actually now that Romney dropped out all the remaining candidates scare me to think about them in charge. -Sherrie

If Hillbilly Clinton could run this country for 8 years, then anybody can.
